Maison Matisco wines are crafted by artisan vintners Richard and Stéphane Martin. These two wine growers and producers work in the village of Davayé, in the heart of the magnificent Mâconnais region. Maison Matisco was founded in 2015 and aims to round out the range of wines produced by the Martin family’s vineyards (Croix-Senaillet and Mont-Épin). They know that global demand for fine white Burgundy can sometimes outstrip supply, so Maison Matisco works to ensure there is always a regular supply of great wines for purchasers who care about quality and the true expression of our terroir.
You are now in Burgundy, among the sublime vineyards of the Mâconnais. Maison Matisco’s cellars are open and ready to welcome visitors as they enter the village of Davayé. Just look around you and you’ll see the vines in Fuissé, Vergisson, Prissé and Solutré Pouilly. With the Solutré and Vergisson cliffs towering above, even the landscape itself promises something truly spectacular.
Our signature, a guarantee of quality
Maison Matisco is determined to demonstrate and propagate our own core values: growing vines of the highest quality, in a way that respects and protects our land. The Martin brothers have long been renowned for their skill and expertise – together, they honed their techniques to bring the very best out of their chardonnay grapes. Every year, the wines from Saint-Véran, Pouilly-Fuissé, Viré-Clessé and Mâcon-Villages are produced with the utmost care. And while the technical tools they use may be modern, the methods they use to produce and mature their wines are resolutely traditional. Here, everything depends on the feel and intuition of Richard and Stéphane Martin.
